Dear All,
A museum in my area is looking to develop a building on their site which has various rooms laid out as they would have been when a local family was living there in the Victorian period. Currently the rooms are partitioned off with a wall surmounted by glass which goes to the ceiling.
The staff want to take these barriers away and replace them in a way which makes the visitors feel more connected to the room and it's contents. Do any of you have any examples of time-warp rooms and how they are kept secure yet accessible? Do they have barriers, ropes or vigilant stewards to protect the objects from wandering off?
Thanks, Natalie
