Dear colleagues,
We are two health information researchers at the University of
Sheffield, working on the EAHIL-funded Project WHIPPET (Working in the
Health Information Profession: Perspectives, Experiences and Trends).
Following our initial focus group in Yorkshire, we would like to
invite health information professionals in the greater London area and
the south Midlands to participate in a focus group on career
experiences as part of our research to investigate current and future
trends in the health information sector and the ways in which health
information professionals make critical contributions to healthcare.
The focus group will be held in central London (St Pancras / Holborn
area) during the week beginning 22nd April (exact date and time to be
confirmed). It is expected to take roughly one hour and will be
audiorecorded and transcribed. If you are interested in participating,
please contact me on [log in to unmask] We will be able to
reimburse travel expenses.
Key outcomes from the project will include an interactive website to
support health information professionals' career development, and a
map of the European health information sector. We also hope to publish
our findings in academic and professional journals.
Best wishes,
Liz Chapman and Barbara Sen
