*TOPIC*: Lectureship in Chinese Studies (Modern Chinese Literature and
Culture)
Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Chinese Studies to be held
in the Asian Studies department of the School of Literatures, Languages
and Cultures. The successful candidate will have experience in the
design and delivery of teaching within the higher education sector, and
the ability to deliver courses to undergraduate and postgraduate
students in the areas of Modern Chinese literatures, culture and media.
He/she will also be expected to contribute to the administration of the
subject area, including course organization.
The successful candidate will have expertise in modern Chinese
literature and culture in all its manifestations, i.e. traditional and
non-traditional media, on the basis of a native or near-native command
of the Chinese language, and a demonstrable record of research
excellence within the field. The post is tenable from 1st June 2013 or
as soon as possible thereafter.
