Full Time Assistant Archivist position, fixed term to 31st July 2014 at the University of Leeds Special Collections.
Special Collections at the University of Leeds holds outstanding collections, encompassing rare books and archives, the University’s institutional archive and the Stanley and Audrey Burton Art Gallery. Resource discovery and the management of collections data are major challenges for the service and are a focus of efforts to effectively showcase our distinctive offer to the University and wider research community.
In Special Collections your main responsibilities will be the processing and cataloguing of archive materials, ensuring description meets the needs of our users. You will join the evening (until 18:00) and weekend (Saturday mornings) rota providing supervision in the Special Collections Reading Room.
