Dear All,
I have been asked to forward on the following request for information. Please send any responses to [log in to unmask]
The University of Chichester is currently reviewing its policy and practice in regard to academic malpractice and would be interested to know:
(1) do institutions invite students to attend a 'hearing' or rely on a written statement from the student or neither (or something else entirely)?
(2) do institutions have a standing panel (or committee) for considering such cases?
(3) do institutions have set penalties or are penalties decided per each individual case?
(4) do institutions differentiate between deliberate and unintentional malpractice?
(5) do institutions differentiate between how students at Level 4 and Levels 5 and above are treated?
Katie, who is the director of Quality and Standards at Chichester, is happy to collate responses and circulate a summary.
Best wishes
Jane
