The successful applicant will:
Undertake wide ranging geotechnical analyses and reviews to assist Clients achieve their goals
Be closely involved in developing scopes of work and specifications for geotechnical site investigations to meet Clients needs and expectations
Demonstrate a strong project management skill set
Support the business’ and external clients’ technical / commercial delivery and strategic goals
Have a strong working knowledge of geotechnical codes and standards
Have a strong working knowledge of offshore geotechnical site investigation techniques and practices
Manage client relationships and projects
Have good interpersonal skills
Demonstrate integrated thinking and working with other S&G offices to achieve desired goals
Assist with the management of a highly qualified and experienced team of engineers and technicians
Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety and environmental and regulatory compliance and an ongoing commitment

Primary Function
Design and management of offshore geotechnical site investigations and integrated geoscience data acquisition programmes
Assessment, interpretation and analysis of integrated site investigation data leading to delivery of engineering guidance and recommendations
Provision of high value geotechnical and foundation design support, guidance and technical assurance
Geohazard evaluation and risk assessment and mitigation advice
Support of exploration and facilities development projects
Supervision, management and delivery of a variety of study types
GIS and visualisation
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in an engineering subject, preferably civil engineering
Chartered Engineer status
Applicants will be in a strong position if they have a post-graduate degree or PhD in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology.
Experience and Competencies
Substantial experience in a similar or relevant role, preferably within the oil and gas industry
Good analytical and numerical skills
Good communication skills
Strong oil and gas or marine renewables background
Site investigation contracting experience
Foundation design experience
Geohazard assessment experience would be an advantage
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Motivated self-starter and a multi-disciplinary team player
Willingness to travel away from home office, and potentially offshore, by mutual consent
Pragmatic problem-solver and decision maker
