Dear all
Would you mind spreading the word through your networks about two vacancies within MAC-UK, a charity committed to radically transforming mental health services for excluded young people and underpinned by community psychology values and practice.
1) A paid part time internship opportunity for social science graduates. The intern will support the research of a music and mental health project (Mini MAC) co-founded and developed by young people affected by gangs and MAC-UK.
Mini MAC: Background and Aims
Mini MAC is a peer-led project that provides an opportunity for excluded young people to both deliver and be recipients of musical activity that promotes positive mental health, raises aspirations, broadens horizons and encourages long-term changes to patterns of anti-social behaviour.
Mini MAC puts music, mental health and peer-led delivery at the heart of the solution to the challenging circumstances faced by excluded young people. Music inspires and many young people relate to the world through their music. Often those excluded from school, on the edge of crime or detained need new and creative activities to get them learning and working with others. Music making can also be a great way for young people experiencing mental health issues to express themselves and get involved in something positive and rewarding.
Application Deadline: Tues 23rd April.

You will be joining a dynamic and fast growing organization where we guarantee you will never watch the clock! There is also potential for the post to grow and develop rapidly within the infrastructure of MAC-UK.
