About the seminar:
Matthew Sinnett will talk about how Arup model both traffic management / improvement schemes and how they model emissions. What management techniques are available and how you can get different answers depending upon what way you look at schemes.
About the presenter:
Matthew Sinnett is a Senior Transport Planner working for Arup based in their Newcastle Office. He is an experienced strategic transport modeller and has experience in working with Local Authorities, the Highways Agency and also has experience of working on projects abroad. He has undertaken the transport modelling and economic assessments of a number of major infrastructure projects within the North East including The New Tyne Crossing, a proposed New Wear Crossing, and the proposed A19 / A1058 interchange upgrade scheme. He has wider experience having assessed motorway widening schemes, toll roads and major urban public transport networks.

The Cassie Building is building number 49 on the Campus Map and is about a 5-10 minute walk from Haymarket metro/bus interchange or Jesmond metro station, both of which are easily accessible from Newcastle Central station or Newcastle International Airport.
