Hi All,
The annual two day HEPSYSMAN meeting based at RAL will be slightly different this year.
The main meeting will start on Tuesday June 4th mid-afternoon and continue through the Wednesday 5th June, the actual timing will be announced shortly.
The reason for this is that the Tier-1 has arranged some security training that will start on Monday (3rd June) morning and will complete on Tuesday afternoon.
There are a limited number of spaces available on this course and some spaces (~10-15 TBC) will be made available to HEPSYSMAN/Tier-2 Systems administrators who can arrive early for HEPSYSMAN.
As spaces are limited priority will be given to members of the security team and then one per site as interested up to the maximum available.
Details of registration and absolute numbers will be available soon, hopefully next week.
Due to the shorter time for the meeting, we will not have the standard site reports but will focus on subjects of particular concern and interesting topics.
Some suggestions at this stage are:
Migration to SL6
IPv6
Grid middleware post EMI
HEPIX report
After the GridPP collaboration meeting in Glasgow we should have other ideas.
As ever, please contact me with suggestions and offers.
Regards Pete
