Hi Bob,
'Musée des Beaux Arts' was published in 1938, although the collection
escapes me. 'Landscape with the Fall of Icarus' was in *Pictures From
Brueghel*, 1962. Not sure about Self-Portrait, but Ashbery is on my 'must
know everything about' list.
You may also find this relevant, a post that was on the *Southerly* website
by Australian poet Kate Middleton:

Happy ekphrasis!
Regards,
Nathan

The poems are the two by Auden and Williams about the fall of Icarus
and Ashbery's "Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror." I'm writing about
ekphrastic poetry for my next Scientific American blog entry. I’ve been
searching the net for a while but no dates are showing up.
thanks for any help, Bob
