There will be opportunities to try out and take part in a wide range of arts- and performance- based methods in workshops led by experienced facilitators. The programme will also include a Knowledge Café and Voices of Experience panel, where community members, participants and academic researchers will share experiences of the challenges and opportunities of this form of collaboration.
Featuring workshops and masterclasses: - ‘Participation, Digital Media and Performance’ by Jane Dudman and Ben Jones, Culture Lab, Newcastle University
- ‘Theatre meets Academia’, Reminiscence Theatre by Gordon Poad, Director of Cap-a-Pie Associates
- Performance-based workshop by Dave Raynor, drama facilitator
- ‘Using art with children to explore emotions: the messiness of participation’ by Rachel Pain, Geography Department Durham
- ‘Cross Collaborative Art Form Exploration’ by Claire Ford, freelance art facilitator
- Arts-based workshop by Mary Robson, arts and health educator
- Performance-based workshop by Jonathan Skinner, Anthropology, Queens Belfast
