Colleagues may be interested in two new MAs which will launch later this year at Bournemouth University's Media School.
The first is MA Adaptation (http://courses.bournemouth.ac.uk/courses/postgraduate-degree/adaptation/ma/3962/) which explores the creative process of moving between different art forms or different media. Offering the option of combining the study of theoretical approaches with creative and practice-based applications, this MA will include modules on Adapting the Classics, Transgressive Adaptations, and Markets and Audiences.
MA Literary Media (http://courses.bournemouth.ac.uk/courses/postgraduate-degree/literary-media/ma/3964/) analyses the relationship between texts existing in different media, and includes modules on Literature and Controversy, Mediating the Nation, and Cultures and Materialities.
Both MAs build on the success of BA English at Bournemouth, which aims to give students the opportunity to study classic and contemporary literary texts in the context of converging media cultures and emerging digital technologies. They also draw on the expertise of members of the Narrative Research Group based in the Media School.
Please do spread the word and encourage any students who may be interested to apply.
