ALISS Visit to Bethlem Archives and Museum Service

ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information professionals in the Social Sciences). are pleased to announce an opportunity to visit the Bethlem Archives and Museum Service. Bethlem Royal Hospital is the original 'Bedlam', one of the world's oldest hospitals for the treatment of mental illness.Its archives are of significant importance for understanding this area of public health. The trip will include an illustrated talk about the history of Bethlem, followed by an archive session and visit to the museum.
The visit will last approximately 2- 2.5 hours.
There is no charge for aliss members

Donations are welcomed by the museum. Non -members £5
