We have developed a Microsoft Access database for logging enquiries, responses and users. The database includes some basic 'one click' queries for analysing the data, but for more involved analysis we export the data and manipulate it in Excel. A bit clunky and very 1980s but it seems to work, and we use it for management reporting, service development, user group identification, etc.

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Reference Desk statistics software
Hi all,
We would like to keep a record of enquiries made at the reference desks by using a database, piece of software etc. Could I ask what other libraries are using and if it is proving successful in terms of keeping track of the different types of enquiries etc?
Many thanks,
Anne
