Dear colleagues,
The Arts in Applied Psychology and Education conference is back in July 2013. This is the final call for workshops and seminars to be considered for this year’s event.
The conference aims to create a space for multi-professional practitioners to explore how the arts might offer useful and additional ways of working. The emphasis is on sharing practice, offering a supportive environment to explore new techniques and creating multi-disciplinary networks. This is a purposefully small but high quality CPD event which often sells out within days of being advertised. This year we are working in partnership with The Riverside Centre in support of our 2013 charity partner, Cancer Research UK.
We are looking for seminars or workshops with a focus on practice examples of how you have or do use the arts in your work with children and young people (or with methods that can be adapted for this group). We welcome seminars or workshops which use any art form, this may include: drama/theatre, dance/movement, sculpture, storytelling, voice, film making/work (including VIG), virtual and new technologies, music, and photography; but this is NOT an exhaustive list and we're always open to new ideas. Submissions should be clearly linked to psychological and/or educational theory and practice. All contributors will receive one free place and lunch. To submit a seminar or workshop please email the conference organiser at [log in to unmask] for a proposal form. The deadline for proposals is THURSDAY 28TH MARCH 2013. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by FRIDAY 29TH MARCH 2013.
The conference will take place on Wednesday 17th July 2013 in Derby.
All the best
Nick
