Dear ICAD and AES members, participants and friends!
Due to many requests we have decided to extend the registration deadline
for the International Conference on Auditory Display 2013 till 31st of
March.
We are also adding an optional new submission category – extended abstracts.
This is a new format introduced in 2012, that focuses on late-breaking
results, recently initialized research, novel methodologies, controversial
theories or unsuccessful experiments and null findings. The extended
abstracts are to be 2 pages long and the authors will be expected to
deliver a short (5-7min) speech.
The upcoming ICAD conference will be held in Lodz, Poland on July 6-10,
2013.
The annual ICAD conference, organized since 1992, is the prime forum for
academia and industry to exchange ideas and discuss developments in the
field of auditory display. Conference topics encompass the use of sound
to display data, monitor systems, and provide enhanced user interfaces
for computers, virtual reality systems and assistive technologies.
ICAD brings together programmers, artists and perception researchers.
Please visit the website http://www.icad2013.com to view the full call
for papers.
The new extended submission deadline is March 31st; however, we request
that you register the title of your paper as soon as possible.
Again we also request that you spread the word of mouth about the conference
to any colleagues who’s research concerns auditory displays or interfaces.
Proceedings papers are archived, indexed and made publicly available
by the Georgia Tech SMARTech system, and will also be submitted to
the ISI Web of Science.
We hope to see you in Lodz in July,
Michal Bujacz
on behalf of the ICAD 2013 Organizing Committee
P.S. We apologize if you receive this email more than once. We're sending
the announcements through several different mailing lists which might
overlap.
