Re my earlier email on this topic, thanks to those who have already replied to me. However, I didn't get very many replies so I am re-emailing in the hopes of getting a few more! So, once again, here's what I'm hoping to hear about :
Here at Roehampton we are reviewing our Key Text Collection and are interested in hearing from other institutions who have - or had - such collections how you currently use and administer them. We are interested in hearing answers to the following questions :
- is your collection loanable? What are the loan periods?
- what category of stock is included ? (reference only - last copy - limited access copy of title with multiple loan copies - other)
- have you recently changed (or are you about to change) the nature of your collection? If so what were the drivers?
- if the collection is wholly or partly reference do you monitor its use in any way?
- how do you decide what to weed from the collection and how often is the weeding done?
Please reply direct to me not the list at : [log in to unmask] I will summarise for the list if there are enough expressions of interest!
