I am a volunteer working for the New Evidence Search Team of Leicester (UK) City of Sanctuary. My colleagues and I support asylum-seekers in their quest for evidence for their asylum applications.
We are not lawyers, but research and assemble evidence so that the solicitors representing the asylum-seekers can present it as part of the case to the UK Border Agency.
Our website is http://www.cityofsanctuary.org/leicester
A current case is of Baha'is fleeing alleged persecution in the Sudan: I have not been able to find evidence of Bahai's practising in the Sudan even after approaching the Office of Public Affairs at the Baha'i office in London, the US, and conducting fairly exhaustive searches in the Internet - though, of course, I have found vast evidence of human right violations in the Sudan. And apostasy from Islam is punishable by death is actually part of the Sudanese Constitution
That, however, Baha'is existed in the Sudan at an earlier period is indicated by:

Can you help us, please, perhaps, by:
Confirming or otherwise the presence of the Baha'i faith in the Sudan Any records of punishment/persecution of Baha'is in the Sudan.
Providing contacts with Sudanese refugees in Europe or elsewhere who could provide evidence/testimony of the above.
