Applications are invited for a doctoral research fellowship in Late
Antique Greek and/or Latin literature at the University of Waterloo,
Canada, for the academic year 2013-14 (commencing September 2013).
Candidates for the position must be at an advanced stage of writing
the Ph.D. thesis/dissertation (for those completing the Ph.D. in the
North American system, ABD status is required). The fellow will be
housed within the Department of Classical Studies at the University of
Waterloo. The fellowship is funded by an Early Researcher Award of the
Government of Ontario. A preference will be given to those candidates
working in Greek or Latin poetry of the period, but all approaches to
literature will be considered.
Applicants should submit a CV, including the names of three referees,
and a description of the doctoral research project (not to exceed two
pages) to Dr Andrew Faulkner ([log in to unmask]) no later than
April 30, 2013.
The University of Waterloo encourages applications from all qualified
individuals, including women, members of visible minorities, native
peoples, and persons with disabilities. All qualified candidates are
encouraged to apply; however Canadians and permanent residents will be
given priority.
