Dear Giorgio,
The list of topics given are preceded by:
Submissions are invited for all aspects of tunicate biology.
Then: Examples of areas of interest, followed by
the list. So the list is just suggestions and not
intended to be an exclusive list; I am sure that
the organizing committee did not intend it to be
so. But because you have a misunderstanding, then
it is very very good that you bring this up
because surely others will also misunderstand.
Everyone is most welcome to make further
suggestions. How about physiology? I myself wish
to suggest Invasions because this is a very
important area now and has not been included and
should not be buried under biodiversity and ecology.
I and I am sure many other ascidiologists
request to the organizing committee to revise
this page a bit to assure everyone that the
meeting will be all encompassing. Perhaps remove
the list of suggested topics for now, and then as
Giorgio suggests, organize the sessions AFTER the abstracts are in.
Other opinions?
Best wishes, Gretchen Lambert
