Afternoon All
Please can somone advise me off list - has anyone managed to find a non-latex glove that can be used in a pharmacy extraction/containment unit that can withstand pressures up to 500 pascals (used in the chemo drug. We use latex for the outer glove which lasts for about 4 hours maximum before it tears and we use latex inner gloves as the nitrile and other composite gloves we have trialled have ripped in less than 30 minutes.
Any help would be much appreciated. I believe that I am going to have to sign an exemption order for our pharmacy team - which whilst I am happy to do but, our last HSE visit was less than impressed with this.....
Kind regards
Iain
