Leeds Psychogeography Group Talk, Tues Feb 19th 5.10pm - All Welcome!
TALK TITLE: 'The Last Street' by Steph Last
WHERE AND WHEN: Tuesday February 19th, 5.10pm, University of Leeds
ABSTRACT:
Street Photography is my passion. Over the last 2 years, whilst
studying Art and Design at the University of Leeds, I have conducted
different collaborative projects to support this discipline. The
benefits of community projects are that they are inherently
self-promoting and they involve multiple creative and artistic inputs.
At a time where street photography is frowned upon in some quarters,
community participation is an effective way of reengaging people with
the discipline. Today’s multi-modal communication society has allowed
me to involve people through e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, as
well as going to events and word-of-mouth. The projects I will be
discussing at my talk are: "Leeds Street Photography Project", "Old
Leeds Street Photography Project", "5-A-Street" and my current project
"Sur L'heure". To find out more please visit www.thelaststreet.co.uk
In the mean time….keep snapping :) !
