Cumbria Museum Consortium
TULLIE HOUSE MUSEUM & ART GALLERY TRUST
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Voice of Cumbria Co-ordinator
2 year post until March 2015
Grade: G (£24,646 - ££26,276 per annum)
Overview
The Cumbria Museum Consortium (CMC), comprising Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery Trust, the Wordsworth Trust and the Lakeland Arts Trust, was recently awarded Major Partner Museum status by Arts Council England<http://www.artscouncil.org.uk/>. Over the next two years the Consortium will be funded to deliver exciting and innovative programmes celebrating excellence, raising standards and ensuring more people experience and are inspired by the richness of Cumbria's museums.
This post offers an opportunity to co-ordinate the delivery of the 'Voice of Cumbria' project, which focuses on the creation of a 'digital portfolio'. Including websites, social media, apps, television and online broadcasts. Our aim is to stimulate the people of Cumbria to become interested in and actively engaged with our collections, and those of other museums. We want to explore ways we can reach out into communities and begin a dialogue with local people in their own communities and on their own terms.
