Hello,
I know the email app on the ipad will not work for customers on our library public wi-fi network. I know the reason why and its a common security measure (port blocking) in many public wi-fi setups (such as at airports, hospitals, trains).
The alternative is that the ipad user has to use a web-browser to read email. It also means it's not so straightforward to use apps which make use of the email app (e.g. pages app to email a document). I wanted to know whether other libraries who offer public wi-fi have come across this issue and whether you state in your documentation that wi-fi is for browser internet access only and that some apps on devices may not work.
Thanks.
