emi-version is also published in the BDII. There's a missing dependency
in the EMI-2 voms metapackage that prevents getting
the version there. The easy workaround is to install emi-version by hand
and restart the bdii, and then you'll get something along
these lines:
[ceccanti@emitestbed27 ~]$ ldapsearch -x -LLL -H ldap://localhost:2170
-b o=glue | grep Middleware
GLUE2EntityOtherInfo: MiddlewareName=EMI
GLUE2EntityOtherInfo: MiddlewareVersion=2.6.0-1
Given that such information may not be available for VOMS (due to the
missing dep in the metapackage) you can leverage the VOMS Admin endpoint
version
to tell whether a VOMS box is EMI-1 or EMI-2.
VOMS Admin 2.7.0 -> EMI 2
VOMS Admin 2.6.0 -> EMI 1
Cheers,
Andrea
