How much smoothing do you propose? 5 mm which is the standard setting in the FEAT GUI?

Hi,
We would normally not recommend such a large amount of smoothing, although we also don't recommend such anoisotropic voxels. It you smooth a lot then it is quite possible that activations move outside of the standard brain.
All the best,
Mark

Hello people,
I have a functional data of 2x2x6 mm resolution for that I had put FWHM value 9mm with a thinking in mind that smoothening can be approximately up to double the acquisition size.
I may be wrong please comment.
But there are some maps 4~5% of maps (95%CI) are just crossing outside the edges of MNI standard template . I guess due to smoothening the maps are not looking like registered properly.
Please Comment?
When I tried with an image with acquisition size 3X3X3 and smoothening FWHM=4 mm. There is no problem like this.
Thanking you
