[Please forgive us our cross-postings, as we forgive those who
cross-post against us.]
Hello all--
Hopefully you don't mind me taking a moment to celebrate in public some
exciting news. Scholars Portal, a service of the Ontario Council of
University Libraries (OCUL), has been certified by the Center for
Research Libraries as a Trustworthy Digital Repository. This represents
the conclusion of a good year and a half of hard work by librarians,
programmers, and systems folks here at SP, aided and abetted by an
amazing array of community members and digital preservationists from all
over.
Our press release is here:
http://www.ocul.on.ca/node/1637
And the official CRL press release is here:
http://www.crl.edu/archiving-preservation/digital-archive/certification-and-assessment-digital-repositories/scholars_portal
Given that we have benefited so much from the hard work of those who
came before us in this process, it's important to us to make as much of
our work as possible open to the public in the event that it is useful
to others.
Our internal wiki page, where all of our publicly-available
documentation is stored, along with our individual responses to the
ISO16363 audit criteria, is available here:

We here at Scholars Portal could not be happier to be recognized, and
are looking forward to tackling new challenges.
