It is quite a long time. I hope you still remember me (Gabriel O. Shonaike). You contributed a chapter in the book I edited along with Prof. Suresh Advani. I used to live in Japan and had worked in the universities under the leadership of:

*       Prof. K. Takahashi, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan - JSPS Postdoc Fellow (1988/89)
*       Profs. Z. Maekawa, H. Hamada and T. Matsuo, Kyoto Inst. Of Technology (1992-96)
*       University Sains Malaysia, Penang (1996-98)
*       Prof. A. Murakami, Himeji Inst. of Technology (1998-2000)

I moved to USA around mid-2002 and has been working in corporate world since then.  Recently I was approached to come and take over as Head of the Department of Polymer Engineering at The Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria. I used to be a lecturer there before moving to Japan in 1988. It is a big challenge because when I visited the department, I felt sorry for the quality of graduates they are producing without adequate practical knowledge. The laboratories are not equipped and it will be a big challenge for me to exist in such setup.

As a result of the above, I will need the assistance of my international colleagues to help in building up the department. The immediate needs now are used equipment from you. An old equipment will be considered new in this university. Please instead of scrapping the equipment, the university can have it and will arrange for shipment.
Any type of equipment ranging from processing equipment down to characterization will be great. Those old equipment in your laboratory can be a hot cake in this part of the world. We will appreciate your assistance in this case.
