As part of our series of seminars on the Caribbean, UCL - Institute of the Americas is pleased to host this panel, with the attendance of Dr Malachi McIntosh<http://www.ucl.ac.uk/silva/americas/malachi-mcintosh> (Cambridge) and Dr Wendy Knepper<http://www.brunel.ac.uk/arts/english/staff/wendy-knepper> (Brunel).
The delivery of the papers (Dr McIntosh's paper is titled: "Intellectuals = Land = People: The Writer as Spokesman in Edouard Glissant" and Dr Knepper's is "Cataclysmic Life in Contemporary Haitian Diasporic Memoirs: Reading Edwidge Danticat and Dany Laferrière.") will be followed by discussion, Q&A and a wine reception.
