http://research.northumbria.ac.uk/IDC2013_change/
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: March 18th, 2013,
NOTIFICATION: April 19th, 2013
This one-day workshop will take place at IDC 2013 and aims to create new collaborations bringing together designers, developers, psychologists and others who have a vested interest in how technology can facilitate behaviour change in the teenage population.
Call for participation
--------------------------
There is growing emphasis on teenagers to adopt healthy behaviours and sustainable lifestyles. Innovative interventions delivered through pervasive technology or the internet are increasingly viewed as effective ways to motivate and help people change their behaviour. However, delivering interventions to change teenager’s attitude or behaviour via pervasive systems need to be designed specifically for the target population. When working with teenagers relevant, teen-centric and appropriate activities need to be used. The aim of this workshop is to discuss and develop interdisciplinary research in the design of technology for behaviour change interventions in the teenage population.
Workshop Submissions
-----------------------------
We are inviting contributions in the following areas, but not limited, on the following topics -
Designing, developing and evaluating behaviour change interventions for the teenage population:
- Successful or unsuccessful interventions
- Exploration of the different systems interventions have been delivered
- Theoretical approaches underpinning interventions
- Evaluating change
- Methods for designing, developing and evaluating interventions
