I think it might be useful to remember that alongside their paranoic
persecution of European Jewry, they also theorised slavs - including Poles
as "Untermensch" and indeed the first people sent to the gas chambers were
Russian prisoners of war.
Denied access to colonies in Africa, Hitler's "Lebensraum" policy involved
expansion east and the reduction of slavic people to a servile status if
not extermination.
