Manorial Document Register Archivist

We require a qualified archivist to undertake the Manorial Document Register (MDR) Project for Somerset. The project will involve the creation of an online register of Somerset’s manorial documents and research to create authority files of Somerset manors. This post is funded by The National Archives, and forms part of the national MDR Project.
We are looking for someone with experience and understanding of manorial documents, strong palaeographical skills, and a knowledge of Latin. We welcome applications from candidates who are due to qualify as archivists in Summer 2013. The start date for this project is flexible.
The post is based at the Somerset Heritage Centre, but will involve some travel to other repositories and venues throughout the country.
