I would echo what has been said.
Here at NTU we use Mac for our Graphics and Photo courses, as it is still very clear that our industry uses Macs. It would be very detrimetal to student employability, and possibly, your NSS scores if you move away from our industrial paradigms
Also our IS has completed shifted from anti-Mac to embracing the iPad and other iOS devices. They take the view that your cannot beat them so may as well join them!

Subject: Any thoughts on this debate?
Hello Folks
We have a small issue here at present that you might be able to offer some judgment upon for us; based entirely on cost, our IT guys intend to move all of us over to PC's from Macs. We firmly believe that we need to deliver a programme that is fit for purpose and inline with industry standards. To enable our students to get jobs upon graduation and beyond, as well as undertake successful placements as part of their learning experience, we believe that teaching on Macs is an important element of all our programmes.
So the question I have is ‘do you use Macs, and do you think its valuable to learn on a platform you would then encounter in the work place?
This is clearly a leading question but we would really appreciate your thoughts and opinion on this matter.
Many thanks
David
