In my view, there is no case here because if anyone really need to
verify someone else findings, then they should contact them (I believe
that is why all authors have there email on their publications). It
should also be noted that some authors (especially from africa) pay a
fortune to get access to data and also have to pay for there work to be
published, so why would they want to put up such data.
This topic is a complex one, however, if u have an issue with a journal
and need to verify the findings, then get the data (am sure people quote
their sources) or contact the author
Hence, according to Mark Elliot "Publication of the data will often be
inappropriate for confidentiality reasons. Publication will not prevent
fraud".

If you're talking about data acquired by the same researcher, no more so
than if the data set _were_ published. Any even half competent liar
would surely falsify the data anyway. Publication of a data set, or
otherwise, is not a strong indication of veracity.
