Review and appraisal of options for implementing a new framework for
managing Intellectual Property
Summary of work
The Museum of London is looking for a suitably qualified consultant to
review the Museum's current position with regard to Intellectual
Property (IP) and to develop a series of options for implementing a new
framework for the management of intellectual property and the Museum's
collections. The Consultant will be expected to interview a small number
of key Museum staff and produce a report outlining a number of options
or routes for the implementation of a new central and strategic IP
framework.
Skills and knowledge required of the consultant
Essential
- Knowledge and experience of Intellectual Property legislation
- Knowledge and experience of the management of IP and museum
collections
- Understanding of the potential impact of forthcoming revisions to the
legislation as they relate to the heritage sector
- A proven track-record of analysing and troubleshooting intellectual
property issues in large organisations, and of specifying solutions
- Excellent communication, interviewing and report-writing skills
- A proven record of producing work to deadline, and on budget

Potential service providers should note that the Contracting Authority
reserves the right to cancel this procurement at any stage and not award
a contract.
