Dear All,
On behalf of Jim Cline at NIST, I am pleased to announce that the next Accuracy in Powder Diffraction meeting will be held at NIST - Gaithersburg, MD, USA from 22nd to the 25th April 2013.
This meeting, designated APD-IV, is the fourth in the series which are held approximately every ten years. They constitute a review of the state-of-the-art in powder diffraction techniques, instrumentation and data analysis methods.
The meeting should be considered as a ‘must attend’ for anyone working at the forefront of powder diffraction related applications as well as those wanting to learn about cutting edge developments.
Planned sessions for the meeting include:-
1. Standards: Development and Implementation
2. Instrumentation: Laboratory, Synchrotron and Neutron Diffraction
3. Data Collection and Analysis
4. Structure Solution, Refinement and Validation
5. In situ Studies
6. Quantitative Phase Analysis
7. Proteins & Pharmaceuticals
8. Mineralogy
9. Pair Distribution Studies and Total Pattern Analysis
10. Stress / Strain
The talks at the meeting will consist of invited presentations by acknowledged experts in their respective fields. However, the organizers invite contributed posters from other participants that address issues of accuracy and precision in powder diffraction measurements. Details of the abstract submission process can be found on the website.
Registration will be conducted on-line via the link on the conference website.
Non U.S. citizens please take note of the administrative requirements (detailed on the website) in order to gain access to the NIST site.
