The Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany) is seeking to fill three positions for
Research Scientists
(1 Postdoc- and 2 PhD-positions)
to contribute to a externally funded project on Neurobilogical Foundations of Economic Decision Making under Uncertainty and Excessive Risk Taking.
The project is an interdisciplinary project in the field of neuroeconomics in which economists, psychologists and neuroscientists are involved. Therefore, candidates holding a diploma or master degree in one of these or related disciplines are invited to apply. To be considered for the postdoc position, candidates should have completed a PhD or should be close to completion. Applicants need to be fluent in English. Experience with mathematical or statistical software is advantageous.
The postdoc-position is full time position (weekly workload of 38.70 hours) while the PhD-positions are 0.75 of a full position (29,025 hours). The salary is based on the German public pay scale (TV-L 13 for PhD-positions and TV-L 14 for postdocs). Appointments are initially for two years, with the perspective of subsequent prolongation for the complete duration of this project (three years). The positions can be filled immediately.
