Dear All,
Under the ESRC Secondary Data Initiative, the University of Liverpool, Department of Geography and Planning is offering an 18 month position to develop a spatial microsimulation of co-morbidity model.
We seek an innovative researcher to work with us on developing a small area level co-morbidity model for the East Kent region. You will use statistical models and the Health Survey for England to identify the individual-level factors that significantly affect co-morbidity in England. Once established these factors will be used as matching constraints within a spatial microsimulation framework to create a small area level profile of co-morbidity using the Census 2011 and the Health Survey for England. Using administrative data on observed rates of co-morbidity for East Kent, the spatial microsimulation model will be validated using a newly developed calibration technique. On calibration the data will allow you to explore levels of supply and demand mis-match for health services at both the individual and small area level in East Kent. Familiarity with aspects of survey analysis and statistical programming is desirable. The post is available for 18 months.
