SALARY: £ 36,298 - £ 44,607 pa (Grade 6)

You will be responsible for developing a culture of information compliance and supporting good records management practice across the University by leading the University’s professional Records Management function and by managing and monitoring the University’s compliance with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act and Environmental Information Regulations.
A degree and a professional qualification in records management, information legislation or other relevant area is essential, as is substantial demonstrable experience of developing and implementing records management systems and processes within a large and complex organisational environment. You will have a sound knowledge and understanding of Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation coupled with substantial demonstrable experience of managing compliance in these areas. You will have experience of electronic records management, training delivery, managing projects, supporting committees and be able to demonstrate experience of working using discretion and diplomacy in a sensitive or confidential work environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, IT skills, organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly both individually and within a team are also essential.
