University of Warwick
Department of Physics
The Astronomy & Astrophysics group at the University of Warwick
is seeking several PhD students to work within the project "White
dwarfs as tracers of stellar, binary, and planetary
evolution". The positions are funded by an ERC Advanced Grant
held by Boris Gaensicke. The overarching aim of the project is to
use a range of deep large-area surveys to identify an all-sky
sample of white dwarfs, carry out detailed follow-up
observations, and investigate questions ranging from the
evolution of planetary systems to the nature of SNIa progenitors.
Informal enquiries: Prof. Boris Gaensicke ([log in to unmask])
