I use LinkedIn more for my "day job" connections, although more and more my worlds are colliding. Originally, I used Linked in to network with folks who might hire me as a technical writer and/or instructional designer and I used Twitter and Facebook for my literary friendships-- Now, though, more and more of my FB and Google+ connections are on Linked in too. And I have my own dilemma--how to meld together my very ITish Linked in profile with my creative interests? I don't want to scare off any business for my day job with too much of a mention of poetry, but, I also don't think it would be a bad thing to sort of combine all of my work in one place. Though, I am not sure if it is possible since my CV and my resume are completely different.

Subject: linking in
Dominic & Kasper I see are both on Linked-In (or however you spell it); so am I
somehow.
Does it mean anything to you? Does it do anything for you? I am LinkedIn, but
dont feel very linked in to anyone I appear to be connected to there (although I
do feel connected via other ways & means).
FaceBook I sort of get, & that's okay; I enjoy it. What's a linked in person
going to do?
If you two have any ideas, I'd be happy to know....
