That might be Elkin NC.
There are some beautiful lineated mafic amphibolites along a shear zone in NC that Chuck Trupe worked on. He's at Georgia Southern University. Also, there's a recent paper in JMG by Stokes et al., discussing lineated amphibolites from the same region, although not super close. You might ask any of them if there's an Elkin Peak locality, or if they have samples they could share.
