Morning all,
This is a useful thread!
Of course, I'm duty bound to post the article I wrote jointly with the CBI for NUS http://www.nus.org.uk/Global/CBI_NUS_Employability%20report_May%202011.pdf
However, I do find the UKCES stuff interesting - although, it's a job to read! http://www.ukces.org.uk/assets/ukces/docs/publications/national-strategic-skills-audit-for-england-2010-volume-1-key-findings.pdf and volume two... http://www.ukces.org.uk/assets/ukces/docs/publications/national-strategic-skills-audit-for-england-2010-volume-2-the-evidence-report.pdf
Best,
Lewis

The National HE STEM Programme worked with a range of sector skills councils and looked at the CBI annual reports over the past few years, mapping them to the QAA STEM subject benchmark statements - might be worth a look: http://www.hestem.ac.uk/sites/default/files/employability_skills_review.pdf

Dear All
A quick question does anyone have a current list of transferable skills / skills of employability which employers say they value and details of their assessment of whether graduates have them. In other words something which might indicate if there is a mismatch in what employers say they want and what graduates often arrive or present with, many thanks.
Thank you
AMH
