Dear fellow drawers--
Anyone out there (or know anyone out there) willing to send me a video of the first half hour of a drawing?
Buried deep in my doctoral dissertation cave this winter, studying videos of artists drawing in excruciating detail, I've become very curious about something, and would love to see if more examples bear out my hypothesis. I am looking for a clear view of the first half hour of a drawing in progress, only hands, tools and drawing surface need be visible. Low res is fine, even preferable, so using your phone or webcam would be great. (ipad or other form of digital capture would be fantastic!) I need enough detail to be able to see what you are drawing, and a still shot of the drawing itself after the half hour is up. your submission can be anonymous, if you wish.
You are welcome to respond directly to my university email, [log in to unmask], with any questions. If you are interested in participating please send me a few images of your drawings--- I am looking for a broad range of work, from any sort of combination of observation, reference, imagination, or just the pure joy of mark making.
Thanks so much!
