We are likely to get one of these devices and at first review UV makes lead glass brittle.
However some church restoration work require lead glass for originality but also need UV protection for colour stability of ancient artefacts inside.

Has anyone done a UV spectral transmission for ray safety specs used in fluoroscopy?

Subject: UV absorption in lead glass
We are currently using a Spectranetics CVX 300 laser in a cardiac cath laboratory.
The wavelength is 308nm. and the NOHD is around 1.3m.
While I am comfortable with the situation I would like to confirm any added protection for this wavelength that may be provided by 5mm of lead glass window.
So if anyone has the absorption coefficient for this wavelength for lead glass used for x ray protection I would be interested in receiving details.
