We seek an energetic and enthusiastic researcher, with a background in mathematical or computer modelling and some knowledge of statistics, to join a group of computational biologists.
You will help develop methods to evaluate and parameterise individual-based models of animal populations using ecological data.
You will have:
- Or expect shortly to have a PhD
- Appropriate experience in modelling and/or biological statistics
- Enthusiasm, ideas and ability to organise and prioritise own workload and build good relationships externally and internally
- Experience in scientific research, writing research papers, giving conference presentations
- Some experience of programming
Many opportunities exist within biology for researchers with mathematical/computing skills
