DATABASE ASSOCIATE II

About the Job
This is a permanent role based in our office in central Leeds. As a Database Associate II you will provide technical services (Electronic Data Capture, Remote Data Capture, Oracle Clinical and Bedside Data Capture) on assigned projects to achieve project integrity and the delivery of on time, quality data. Other responsibilities and duties may include:
• Perform all activities related to study build and design including preparing eCRF specification or annotated data capture instruments and screen development
• May participate in sponsor screen design review meetings
• Create the Edit check specification
• Write validation / derivation procedures based on the Edit Check Specification, eCRF specification or data capture instrument and the protocol.
• May conduct quality control of study build and design activities including eCRF specification or annotated data capture instruments, screen design, validation checks and edit check specification
• Creation of test data / scripts to test both the screen design and validation checks.
• Participate in client meetings, study initiation visits and study update meetings.
• Regularly inform CDARO Project Manager and/or client of progress of projects, potential problems, and overall status of the study build and design.
• Implement processes as they are refined or as new processes are developed and may also initiate and participate in the ongoing review of the processes to ensure they are continually improved.
About You
• Typically a BSc in a computing, mathematical, life science, pharmacy or related subject or equivalent.
• Previous experience in clinical research, database maintenance and programming would be highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of basic Simple Query Language (SQL) is preferred.
• Knowledge of EDC/Oracle Clinical database and data management is preferred.
• Develop problem solving skills and a willingness to learn and seek advice from senior programming staff and staff in related disciplines
• Good time management and organization skills, the ability to prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work.
• Effective communication skills; a co-operative and team orientated approach.
