The following opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Statistical Programmer (6-month fixed term contract) at Smith & Nephew, Hull.

The Role:
Based in our Outcomes Research team, the jobholder will develop SAS programs for the clinical data management and statistical reporting of clinical study data, ensuring that all processing
is accurate and in compliance with department systems.
Under the guidance/coaching of a statistical programmer, you will be required to:
Develop, test and run SAS programs for the statistical analysis and reporting of clinical study data. This includes programs for analysis datasets, tables and graphics.
Develop, test and run SAS programs for clinical data management data validation and compliance checks. Liaise with CDM and stats on validation plan specifications.
Generate randomisation schedules, inserts/labels files for code break/randomisation envelopes and study supplies labels files.
Personal development in BASE SAS and SAS Macro programming through on-the-job training, self-learning and external courses.
Candidate Requirements:
Some experience in programming
Holds a degree or equivalent in the area of IT / Maths / Statistics.
Needs to be organised, pro-active and able to work in a team environment
Keen eye for detail
Good communication skills
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000
