This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious global pharmaceutical company with a powerful and successful research base. Boehringer Ingelheim UK has an established health economics and outcomes research team which works as part of an integrated market access, pricing and outcomes research department. We are seeking to appoint an Epidemiologist to provide robust relevant real world data and epidemiological reasoning in order to drive innovative strategies and aid evidence based decision making across the Prescription Medicine (PM) portfolio, and increase market access by the publication of epidemiological studies to raise awareness of disease or product specific outcomes.
To join our team, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline, supported by a relevant post-graduate qualification, e.g., MSc/PhD in Epidemiology or similar. The ideal candidate should have a broad knowledge of epidemiological methods, and medical statistics applied to epidemiology, accompanied by proven knowledge in the management of epidemiological data and methods used to organise and analyse large sets of data. Knowledge and experience of running epidemiological studies, from proposal writing to publication of results would be advantageous, as would knowledge of statistical methods applied to health economics and a good understanding of SAS, CPRD and the UK health system.
