If attention to detail and maintaining high standards is your thing, we’re looking for a Software Tester to work alongside our Software Development team. The role covers all aspects of the testing process, from devising the test strategy to executing test plans and reporting on quality, so we need someone who is innovative and creative as well as rigorous and systematic.
About us
Based in Southampton, Snowflake builds products for the exchange and management of geographical and technical information. We’re big fans of Agile development and use it extensively (with all the latest tools) to deliver first rate software products to a global customer base across many markets. As a small specialist company, we pride ourselves in being able to couple technical excellence in software engineering with a strong understanding of our customer’s needs.
The role
This is a new role which covers all aspects of software testing. As a Software Tester you will need to work with both the commercial and technical sides of our business to understand what our products are required to do. The role involves both technical and communication skills. Some of our customers are very technical, so you will need to be able to work with the products they work with, and you will also need to work with a range of test automation tools. You will need to report back on the quality of the software and communicate problems back to the development and support team, so you need to be able to tell us constructively when we have got it wrong.
About you
You will be a highly motivated individual, able to work effectively within a team, in a dynamic and challenging business environment. This is a new role at Snowflake, so you will be someone who relishes the opportunity to take responsibility for and develop the processes for assuring product quality. You will have:
